AC: Day 2

Well, it’s day two here in United Methodist Land! Things are going smoothly! The laity have elected all 7 members to General Conference, and the clergy have only elected 5, so they have 2 more. Next we elect people to Jurisdictional Conference. Today pastor Aaron Brown from St. Paul UMC, Joplin told us stories of his experience with the Joplin tornado. Even though it threw us off schedule, it was very moving to hear what he had to share with us. Tonight is the ordination service, which I’m pumped for! I have the privilege of speaking with 3 other laity to the ordinands of what we wish to see from them in their service to the church. I think that it will be a very powerful service and am looking forward to sharing on behalf of the conference youth.

Oh and tomorrow morning we’re going to IHOP! Score! :)
