Today the CCYMers got the privilege to work as a team and go to Joplin to unload a truck full of packages for children in Joplin. After 30 minutes, we were able to complete our work and were treated with Krispy Kreme Donuts! Dana then took us on a tour of Joplin, and we were able to see the damage caused by the tornado. Actually seeingthe damage ourselves was so much different than seeing pictures and videos. Everything was so real, and seeing it made me sick to my stomach. We’re praying that next summer, we will be able to spend 7 weeks in Joplin, helping the people in our own back yard.
