The End of an Amazing Adventure!

My adventure is over… I’m back home for good! Though it is nice to be back home with mom, dad and Nate, I miss the adventures of this summer: going down to Joplin, not paying attention to stop lights, spending 3 hours at the Red Cross, getting lost in Clarksville, the gps dying, fighting off bugs during worship in OK, the beautiful mountains of Colorado, rafting with Dan the Man, being scared by snakes, bird calls and sign language, eating lunch at 3pm, searching for beaches,  squeezing through tight spaces with the trailer, learning to use a push mower, and almost going to Canada. This summer has been one of the best summers of my life. A multitude of memories were created, and will never be forgotten. I have made some great friends from all across the state, and reconnected with friends from previous years. I have had some pretty awesome experiences and have encountered God in numerous ways this summer. I am sad to see this summer go, but even as it comes to an end, the memories won’t… they’ll go on forever! I feel so blessed to have been able to have done what I love all summer: serving God and his people. I pray that all the people who went on the mission trips and all of the people we served, were able to encounter God: His love, His grace, His mercy. Amen.
