This evening was full of adventures! I’ve successfully led my first ever youth group! God was truly at work this evening and all of your prayers have definitely helped!
To give you an idea of how the youth program works here at Frontenac UMC, I’ll give you a breakdown of this evening.
5:45 – Students begin arriving at the church
6:00 – We dig into a delicious meal provided by a family in the church (tonight it was baked potato bar and chicken tortilla soup provided by the Harris family)
6:30 – Chaos begins! But really – we played some get to know you games!
6:50/7:00 – Dive into the Word – This evening we compared our usage of our Bibles to our usage of cell phones. We did an activity that got us looking up verses and finding books in the Bible.
7:25 – Challenge/Prayer – this week I challenged the youth to open up their Bibles and read at least 2 Psalms or other stories that they wish to read.
God has blessed the youth program with AWESOME volunteers and this church with a truly wonderful pastor. I can’t wait for the adventures to come!
