Thankfulness: Day 24

Today I am thankful for CHILDREN.

This morning I taught the elementary Sunday school class at church and I was reminded how much I love children. Our worship service has a children’s time, and this morning as Pastor Blair invited the children forward a sweet young boy ran up and hugged her knees. When we left for Sunday school the kids ran back to their classrooms and awaited the lessons in store for them. Kids eagerly volunteered to read the different parts of the Bible lesson. Their eyes sparkled as they described all the things in their life that they were thankful for. They not only joined in praying aloud but shouted their thankfulness to God.

Through all of these actions by the young people of the church, I was reminded how much I love children. I love their passion, their innocence, their love, their eagerness, their desire. Today I am so thankful for children and the perspective they live their lives from. I think we all have a lot to learn from the children in the world. Today I am thankful for them.
