Abbey’s Next Great Adventure!

I am so excited to share with you all that this summer begins my 5th summer in youth ministry!

WOOHOOOOOOO!!!

This summer through the Missouri Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church I will be interning with Liberty United Methodist Church’s youth program. In addition to myself, Liberty United Methodist Youth (LUMY) has chosen 4 awesome college-aged interns. I am super excited to work alongside my peers in youth ministry!

A few weeks ago my work began with some friendly putt-putt golf competition and pizza with the summer staff. And not to brag, but Krista and I tied for first, with a score of one below par! Since when did I become so good a mini golf?!

Since then, we’ve had intern meetings, shopping trips, and wonderful moments of just hanging out together. We’ve taught Sunday School (successfully – woohoo!) and lead our teams in the X-Games to some glorious victories. I’ve met a ton of wonderful college aged friends at C2 and have made some awesome friendships. This summer is going to be a great one, and I’m excited for all that God has in store for me!
