Over the next two weeks, I am adventuring with the Pittsburg State Honors College and EF College Study Tours in Switzerland, Italy and France.
My second trip abroad, I am excited for the opportunity to delve into new cultures and simply embrace new parts of the world.

Bright and early, I checked in with Delta at KCI, ready for this exciting adventure.
For arriving at 7:30 am for a day full of flights, we do not look too tired!
Our first flight took us to Atlanta. With just enough time to grab a bite to eat, we hopped aboard our connecting flight to JFK in New York.
The flight was relatively smooth, although we passed through a few thunderstorms.
I think my favorite view was arriving into JFK. Having never been to New York, I was pretty excited to have a 2 minute tour from the airplane window courtesy of the friends I am adventuring alongside.

The Statue of Liberty is somewhere out there!
Departing from JFK in New York at 8:10 pm local time we arrived in Zurich at 10:17 am local time. Despite the few hours of sleep on the plane, my body felt like it was 3:17 am.

We made it through customs and claimed our bags in a breeze. We met our tour director, Alex, who is quite the entertainer. I am excited for these next two weeks and all of the stories and knowledge he will provide for us.
After meeting Alex, he directed us toward our bus and our driver, Alfonso. Our journey from Zurich to Lucerne quickly began.
A little over an hour of driving, and several tunnels later, we arrived in the beautiful city of Lucerne.

In the rain, Alex provided a walking tour of Lucerne, in which we saw several squares, bridges and paintings of art.

We even had time for a selfie!

We grabbed a bite to eat and walked around a bit more before departing for the hotel.
Our drive to the hotel was absolutely gorgeous.
Our group dinner this evening was in the hotel, and boy was it delicious!

After dinner a few of us went for a stroll to enjoy some time in this beautiful place.

It is 9:30 pm here in Lucerne, and after all the traveling we have done, I am exhausted.
Goodnight from Lucerne!
