Our morning began with a 7:15 am wake up call followed by a breakfast of delicious bread and the best coffee I have ever tasted.
The bus transported us into the city center of Lucerne once again. With two hours of free time, we broke into groups and adventured.

We explored the streets, shopped in the local stores, tasted chocolate, and posed for several selfies with statues.

We ventured through the farmer’s market and grabbed a fantastic lunch.

Gathering together at our spot next to Bucherer, we traveled over to the boat dock. A picturesque boat ride delivered us to the start of our journey up Mount Rigi.

After piling into a train car, we made our way up Mount Rigi, with magnificent views of the city and countryside.

Upon reaching the train’s stop, our trek to the top began. And let me tell you, it was one heck of a hike!

With the rain we have seen yesterday and today the clouds have been low, and to our dismay, much of our view was fog.

Thankfully the fog passed and we were able to see the beautiful land below. And once again we managed to take a few selfies!

Our transport down the mountain was a cable car ride. Upon our arrival at the bottom of Mount Rigi, we piled back into the bus, heading into Lucerne one final time.
With a little under an hour before our dinner, we took some time to see the city wall.

Needless to say, the view was amazing.
After, we enjoyed a Swiss fondue dinner. Boy was it cheesy!
We explored the train station in Lucerne, before departing for the hotel.
After arriving back at the hotel, a group of us ventured back up the hill near our hotel, traveling even higher for more spectacular views.

Our day came to an end with an evening filled with friends and watching Eurovision on the television.
Goodnight Switzerland! On to Italy tomorrow!
