Very early in the morning on the first day of the week, the women went to the tomb, bringing the fragrant spices they had prepared. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in, they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus. They didn’t know what to make of this. Suddenly, two men were standing beside them in gleaming bright clothing. The women were frightened and bowed their faces toward the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He isn’t here, but has been raised. Remember what he told you while he was still in Galilee, that the Human One must be handed over to sinners, be crucified, and on the third day rise again.”
Luke 24:1-7
Christ the Lord is risen today! Alleluia!
As we end on the resurrection, remember that the worst thing is never the last thing. Coming out of Good Friday it feels as if death has won, and darkness has taken over. It seems like the end.
But that is the marvelous beauty of the resurrection. Death is defeated and the darkness is overcome by light. And the worst thing is no longer the last thing, it never can be because of Christ’s resurrection.
As you journey through moments and seasons of darkness, let the resurrection be your light and hope. Know that you are not at the end, because the worst thing is never the last thing.
WOW. God is so good.
The number of you who have journeyed with me from Ash Wednesday to today, Resurrection Sunday is unreal. We have gathered together from across the world to journey through the Holy Land and experience our faith in a new way. I am so blessed to have your support and to have spent the last 46 days together.
May the Lord bless and keep you. May His face shine upon you. May He be gracious to you and give you peace. Amen.
Praise the Lord, for Christ is risen, and we can live a resurrection life!

AJ it’s been fun to go on this Journey thru Lent to Easter with you again. You brought each day to life, giving reason to make it to the final days where we could celebrate the empty tomb. Thank you sweet girl!
